On the rainiest day in Purcellville, Virginia, Makayla and Thomas tied the knot during their Catholic ceremony at the beautiful St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.

From the moment I walked into the girl’s Airbnb, I knew these ladies were my people! Everyone was already completely ready; makeup finished, hair done, and everyone had already eaten? Okay! We shot PJ pics, a bridesmaids first look, and formal bridesmaid photos outside before the rain began. Makayla told me about how she was nervous - not for the actual sacrament of marriage, but for so many eyes to be on her during the Mass. Totally get it!
In between the sprinkling, on the grounds of St. Francis De Sales Church, we snapped groomsmen photos that were super laid back. I just had the guys gather where the land was open and light was even and let them interact naturally. Real smiles and genuine laughs were had before we stowed Thomas away for Makayla’s arrival to the church.
Their wedding mass was simple and sweet. I love how calm a Catholic wedding Mass can be especially among the chaos of travelling and coordinating.
